GUKPT Blackpool - Julian’s Account

I travelled back from Amsterdam on Thursday 13th and it was straight up to Blackpool for the penultimate UKPT of the season. Unfortunately it was another one of those days where it just felt like I was never involved or had anything close to resembling a shot.
The biggest pot I played was a Q-J that Flopped a Queen, Turned another, but ran into a cutely played set of 8s on the Flop - a tough-to-beat full house.
It's embarassing to report that I got my last 3k in with an 8 high, but at 150/300, with ten Big Blinds, I'm happy to shove reasonably light from late position. My 7-8s looked pretty enough to go with - until the Big Blind woke up with Q-Q and I was toast.
It's a week at home now and my next report will be from the UKPT finals at the Vic.
